Free Website and Diapers Giveaway

January 18th, 2012

Today I woke up and thought to myself what would be an exciting way to show my appreciation to the many thousands of people who have visited BabyDiapersOnline.com over the past 12 years.  So, I decided to give away a FREE 5 page “daycare” website designed by myself, and a large pack of newborn baby diapers to the lucky winner.

When my children were between the ages of 6 months to 5 years old, I was fortunate to find experienced daycare center providers.  I know the hard work and long hours of effort it requires to deal with the many personalities children bring to the table.  Many young and single parents look up to daycare providers to assist them while they try their best to make ends meet.  It can be very difficult for young parents to leave their newborn baby with someone they hardly know.  I do know, it was very difficult for me.  But one thing I did learn over the years is there are some great childcare/daycare providers out there who truly love what they are doing.  Their passion for their work shows by the way they conduct themselves, the smile they give everyday, the upkeep of their facility, and the way they talk about children and the growth they see the child is making each and every day.  It is a great relief to find such people in the world today.

Therefore, BabyDiapersOnline.com is seeking information from new moms, dads, and daycare providers whom they feel deserves a new website and large pack of “Pamper Swaddlers” newborn baby diapers.

On February 1, 2012 we will choose the lucky winner and will notify them of their winnings.  This package will include “domain name registration for one year, a 5 page website, 1 year upkeep, and large pack of “Pamper Swaddlers” newborn baby diapers.

To get your childcare/daycare provider listed for the drawing, simply leave a comment, along with e-mail address, informing me why you feel your provider and/or company should receive this complete package.

All comments must be submitted by January 31, 2012 which is my youngest son’s Maurice Williams birthday.

Good Luck and God Bless.

Breastfeeding Your Newborn

January 6th, 2012

Breastfeeding your newborn can be very rewarding, but also a very challenging task. For some women, it comes naturally while for other women who chose to breastfeed, they have many hurdles to overcome in the first few months. The constant nursing, latch issues, pressure from health professionals and family… All of these create an environment of stress, which just adds another issue, low supply. First time mothers often have a rough start to breastfeeding and endure many, if not all of these issues.

As a newborn, many babies just inherently know how to latch and there are some who can figure it out fairly quickly. For moms, it’s usually a different story. Some have to acquire guidance whether it be professional or advise from a friend, and still sometimes it just doesn’t quite work the way it should. This can result in painful nursing sessions for the mother and a very hungry baby. Many hospitals offer lactation nurses to help with latch issues, but some also push formula even in the first hours of breastfeeding. If you are set on breastfeeding your newborn, make sure you advocate for yourself and your baby and insist on nursing without supplementing. Many doctors will also suggest supplementing if your newborn is having weight gain issues. Sometimes this is necessary, but again, advocate for yourself and your baby. Most breastfeeding resources repeat one thing over and over, nurse, nurse, nurse! Any time you supplement you take away from your own supply, making it more difficult every time to keep up with your newborn. The constant nursing can put a strain on a new mother, but there is no better way to build your supply. Pressure from family can be worse than pressure from health professionals. For those family members that have never nursed a newborn, they likely can’t comprehend how physically and emotionally draining it can be. Family members may also pressure a new mother into not breastfeeding so the baby can be handled more by others, or giving the baby a bottle so other family members can “bond” with the newborn. All these issues that arise coupled with the pressures from peers can cause undue stress on a new mother, which can debilitate her supply. The cure? Relax, and nurse!

With all that can hinder breastfeeding a newborn, once a supply is established and mom and baby are in a routine (or as much of a routine you can get out of a newborn), a wonderful relationship can develop. There may still be bumps in the road from weight issues, milestones, growth spurts, and public scrutiny of breastfeeding, but the benefits are undeniable. You are able to deliver the perfect amount of milk with the perfect amount of nutrition at the perfect temperature at all times, and you have a wonderful way to bond as well as a quick cure for an unhappy baby. Breastfeeding a newborn is emotionally and physically exhausting, and there may never be such a thing as smooth sailing. Take pride in your decision, and nurse, nurse, nurse!

Let’s Prepare For The New Baby

December 30th, 2011

Because every parent has definitely discovered, no one is ever 100 percent prepared for the entrance of their new baby.  No matter what the volume of time and energy you might put into preparing yourselves and your household for your new arrival, typically there are usually a few aspects that commonly tend to be forgotten.  This is definitely not without good cause. Undoubtedly, exactly what a wonderful and exciting time for expectant moms and dads, thus of course you will tend to be not so focused on trivial daily matters. For every pregnant parent out there, this particular article is directed to you as I had my share of raising my babies.

Unquestionably the baby’s room is the first place in which to get started on when you are planning for your little treasure.  The baby’s crib is likely the first major purchase you will make for your baby.  By all means check to be positively certain the particular crib you buy meets mandatory and voluntary protection guidelines.  You’ll additionally need to invest a top quality crib mattress, as your baby will spend a significant amount of his/her first year on top of it.  Okay, now the baby’s bedding is the next focus, and this really is just a matter of what your requirements are, and do not forget to buy a mattress cover, my husband did, he forgot.  Another very important item would be the baby monitor. For myself I could not have made it without one. Personally I preferred the video monitor with sound.

I think baby necessities would be the next thing expectant moms and dads would want to consider on their list of preparedness.   Many moms and dads have a reasonable idea of just what their baby’s needs are, it is a good idea to pause and ponder every so often. Sometimes, my husband would ponder with me.  Baby items are very popular, and believe me, there are so many choices.  When you buy baby soap make sure you buy the mild baby soap and shampoo, because chemicals and fragrances can have a terrible impact on your baby’s fresh skin. I can attest to this because I ran into issues and still dealing with skin care problems with my now 10-year-old son.  A top quality, 100% natural, moisturizer really should be used.  Some parents are keen on using baby powder to help protect their baby’s bottom.  You should try to find a baby powder that does not have a talcum powder base.  May possibly be very harmful if inhaled, thus, try to select one with a cornstarch base.

Once you and your husband feel confident the essential baby supplies and furniture are actually secured, then it becomes time to think about fun and entertainment for your newborn baby.  Even though the society itself will provide hours of joy and discovery for your child, certainly quality baby toys and playthings can considerably add to their experiences.  A baby mobile is an excellent toy for new baby, as they spend a lot of hours in their crib at this stage of their young life.  My little ones loved the softer toys. Make sure your baby toy provide some sensory stimulation of some sort. It will keep their ears, eyes and hands occupied.  Baby teething toys are positively essential as your baby grows. There are some excellent toys on the market for your baby, just be sure to check out the consumer reports for information about recalls and other possible risks associated with baby’s toys.

Hey new moms and dads, you are bringing God’s little gift to the world, so treat your baby as such.  Also, remember you are entering the realm of sleepless nights and I’m not talking about “sleepless nights in Seattle,” I’m talking about sleepless nights in San Francisco, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Istanbul, London, Karachi, where ever expecting moms and dads live in this world. God Bless and have fun, I did!

Pampers Baby Dry Diapers

December 20th, 2011

I used disposable diapers for every one of my babies. Thank goodness they are all pretty much young adults now. Over the years I tried many types of diapers, some were priced very cheap while others were costly.  One important thing I did notice is when I purchased the cheap diapers or “off brand” type, I got exactly what I paid for.

There would be times when the little shiney crystals appeared when my sons urinate and I truly did not care much for this. I noticed how the diapers starts falling apart from the sides and to make matter worse the diapers would not stay on leaving my sons soaken wet.  “What a mess.”

Okay, so I fixed the problem.  I started purchasing the Pampers Baby Dry Diapers. These diapers were thin and the tabs did not tear off. Kind of wide in the front but work to my advantage because it would not let the pee run out on either side. More important, they were just easy to manage.  You can purchase these diapers in various sizes, 1 through 6, and the packages varies based on the size you order.

President Obama Bring Soldiers Home

December 16th, 2011

It’s been almost nine years since our soldiers marched into Iraq. There were many fathers unable to witness the birth or their newborn and many new moms not available to care for their little ones. Time lost because time served protecting those these brave individuals love, citizens of the United States.

Certainly no one can make up for the absent time spent away from their families, but hopefully these soldiers safe return can become the start of a new beginning.  For some its a time where they will be able to witness the birth of their newborn and for others it will be a time when their spouses will share those precious moments through photos and conversation. I am truly glad these brave soldiers are coming home.

It is my hope that Iraq who also consist of human being, fathers, mothers, and children will find a way to come together and be able to minimize the destruction of life.  I hope there will never be another Saddam Hussein, a dictator in that region.  I hope all the babies and young children will have a chance to grow up in a safe country.

I thank our soldiers for their sacrafice and contribution and pray that all will be able to make a good transition back to life as we know it in these United States of America.

Helping New Parents

December 12th, 2011

Ok, what’s the problem? We know that times are hard for many of us and, babies are being born daily.  Pregnant teenaged moms are calling out for help on facebook, craiglists, chatrooms, and even topix seeking ways to get help for the arrival of their newborn.

One thing I have noticed, is most websites suggest the need to provide for only parents of low income status. It is very essential that we reach all new and expecting moms regardless of income level. It is important that new parents are educated in ways to maintain their baby’s health such as; keeping their baby free from diaper rash, how to combat colic, proper bathing, providing the right formula, etc.

Over the past years we have helped many mothers locate the best free baby product samples for their newborn.  We have sought out businesses who stand by their word and deliver each month as promised. The best thing about the products is they are as stated “free”, meaning you do not have to take a survey to receive your products, and the products are delivered right to your door.

In most cases these product samples are given away by companies in hope that after you try it, you will like it and decide to purchase it the next time you buy baby diapers, formula, bags, and magazines. Some companies will send a product each month until your baby reach his/her 24th month.

Go ahead and give us a try and click this link to start receiving your free baby product samples.

If you are under the age of 18 please let your parents know you are signing up for these free samples so they will know you are possibly pregnant and want to receive valuable preganancy information.
